Snakes and Surrender!

Hmmm! I was just thinking today (28th April 2011) about this. There are two main types of deadly snakes.

(1) THE VENOMOUS or POISONOUS snake which bites its prey, holds it in its jaws and pumps venom (poison) into its victim’s body. The snake waits until the poison takes effect and the animal stops fighting. (Usually, the poison is neurotic and affects the nervous system, paralysing every muscle in the body, including those that aid breathing. It can also be a poison that begins to digest the animal’s tissues from within.)

(2) THE CONSTRICTOR has very powerful muscles in its body. It wraps around the victim, especially its breathing area, and keeps squeezing until it suffocates and/or crushes the victims to death. Each time you breathe out, the constrictor tightens its grip, making it harder and harder to breathe. It will not stop constricting until the victim stops fighting.
Hmmm! Perfect submission...all is at rest!
I was thinking about that phrase, “perfect submission” and what it means. It simply means I am no longer fighting God. I am allowing Him to have His way in me, in every area of my life. It hurts to kick against the pricks. It’s dangerous to wiggle out of God’s will and purpose for our lives. It’s always better to submit . . . TOTALLY! There’s a settled peace when you are submitted to God on an issue. Have you ever felt it? Can you imagine what it would be like if you are perfectly submitted in ALL areas of your life? Think about it.
“Perfect submission, perfect delight . . . perfect submission, ALL is at rest. I, in my Saviour, I’m happy and blest.” – Fanny Jane Crosby (1820-1915)
“Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest...as you yield Him your body and soul.” – Elisha Albright Hoffman (1839-1929)

Indeed
Deep meditation... we cant fight God and win. It's better to submit to his will..
